It tells about <\/em><strong><em>Grandfather and Grandmother Niti<\/em><\/strong><em>, who lived a simple life. During hard times, Grandmother Niti made a red drink from <\/em><strong><em>abang kuwi<\/em><\/strong><em>. The drink became so popular that their hamlet was later named <\/em><strong><em>Waisiau<\/em><\/strong><em> (wai = water, siau = red).<\/em><em>This story teaches that <\/em><strong><em>gratitude, hard work, and generosity bring blessings and will be remembered for generations.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. They were oppressed by a cruel and greedy village head (Pasirah).<\/em><em>Later, the people chose Seharuk as their new leader, and peace returned to the village. It tells about twin sisters, <\/em><strong><em>Srikati<\/em><\/strong><em> and <\/em><strong><em>Srikatu<\/em><\/strong><em>. Srikatu was kind and patient, while Srikati was greedy and arrogant. Ignoring advice, Srikati ate a poisoned chicken and died.<\/em><em>Srikatu lived alone afterward, but she was well-known for her kindness and gentle speech. After her death, the village was named <\/em><strong><em>Srikaton<\/em><\/strong><em> in her memory. This story teaches that <\/em><strong><em>goodness will always be remembered, while greed leads to misfortune<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. It tells about a humble fisherman named <\/em><strong><em>Tuan Kocik<\/em><\/strong><em>, who lived a simple, devout life full of love for his family. During the dry season, when the river ran low, his pregnant wife craved river fish. With strong faith, Tuan Kocik cast his net in front of their house while praying. Miraculously, the next day the net was filled with fish.<\/em><em>He shared his catch with the villagers, earning the nickname <\/em><strong><em>\u201cThe Miraculous Fisherman.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><em> This story teaches that <\/em><strong><em>prayer, patience, and sincere generosity bring blessings<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. It tells about a Javanese nobleman named <\/em><strong><em>Puyang Mulajadi<\/em><\/strong><em>, who sailed on a bamboo raft and was stranded on the <\/em><strong><em>Nikan River<\/em><\/strong><em>. He then settled in the village, married a local woman, and had a beautiful daughter named <\/em><strong><em>Princess Long Hair<\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>When his daughter married <\/em><strong><em>Prince Bantan<\/em><\/strong><em>, their marriage turned unhappy. In anger, Puyang Mulajadi swore that his descendants in Nikan must never marry anyone from Bantan.
