OKU TIMUR – May 16, 2026. The Opening Ceremony of the International Seminar entitled “Applied Linguistics in English Language Teaching: Perspectives and Practices ” was successfully held by the English Education Program, Faculty of Education, Universitas Nurul Huda. The event became even more memorable with spectacular performances presented by two talented students from the English Education Program.
One of the outstanding performances was delivered by Wayan Rinata, who beautifully performed the traditional Puspanjali Dance. The graceful movements and cultural values reflected in the dance successfully captivated the audience and created a warm atmosphere during the opening session.
Another impressive performance came from Rini Lestari, a talented karate athlete and the champion of the OKU Timur Regional Karate Championship. Her energetic and disciplined karate demonstration amazed participants and showcased the spirit of achievement and dedication possessed by students of the English Education Program.
These performances not only entertained the seminar participants but also highlighted the diverse talents and achievements of the students of the English Education Program, Faculty of Education, Universitas Nurul Huda. The opening ceremony became a meaningful moment that combined academic excellence, culture, and sportsmanship in one prestigious international event.
Through this international seminar, the English Education Program hopes to strengthen academic collaboration and broaden perspectives in the field of applied linguistics and English language teaching practices.
